Widgets are available with the new update for the ClearVPN app. This update changes and improves your VPN experience in a major way. You can check the weather, stock prices, your Spotify activity, and VPN with a swap and a glance.
What is ClearVPN widget and how does it work
We’ve had the idea of adding a ClearVPN widget for some time now, a feature our users have also been keen on. Finally, it’s here! Now, you don’t have to open the app to change your location, get protection or streaming access. You can do all that and more on your Home Screen and Lock Screen with our widget. Easy as that, you can also check the connection status and the VPN mode you’re using.
Just like ClearVPN requires no extra tech skills to effortlessly and securely enjoy your online presence, the widget is a hassle-free tool for your everyday online habits.
ClearVPN widget is available in 5 different shapes and sizes for your iOS:
- Large
- Medium
- Small
- Lock Screen rectangle
- Lock Screen circle
How to use ClearVPN widget
The widget is available for the Home Screen and Lock Screen on your iPhone. Both types help you instantly navigate through your VPN connection and control it.
Here’s a quick step-by-step on how to add the ClearVPN widget to your Home Screen:
- From the Home Screen, touch and hold a widget or empty area until the apps jiggle.
- Tap the + button in the upper-left corner.
- Select the ClearVPN widget, choose its size, and tap Add Widget.
- Tap Done.
- Enjoy your new VPN experience!
To use the ClearVPN widget on your Lock Screen, please follow the next steps:
- When in the Lock Screen mode, touch and hold the Lock Screen until the Customize button appears, then tap Customize.
- Select Lock Screen.
- Tap Add Widgets.
- Tap or drag the ClearVPN widget to the Lock Screen.
- Tap Done and enjoy.
Note: If there’s not enough room for the widget, you can tap the Remove button to remove another widget and make room for ClearVPN.
If you have iOS 17, then you’ll be able to connect to the last used VPN mode right from the ClearVPN widget on your lock or home screen. If your iOS version is older, open the ClearVPN app from the home screen widget and then connect to the preferred mode. All this means your device will be one step closer to safe browsing.
